Shadow Work was offered in the Autumn 2024 tea club, and we received tons of requests for more of it. We will continue offering it as part of our Autumn and Winter catalogue.
The 30 years of aging has added a rich, smooth, creamy chocolatey quality characteristic of well-aged shou. Aged in both Menghai and Guangdong, Shadow Work is nourishing, medicinal, meditative yet uplifting and clean.
Xiaguan Factory is known for producing clean, expertly fermented ripe puerh. Established in 1941, they know Puerh tea! Most of the tea we've tried from Xiaguan Tea Factory has been in Taiwan, as a lot of puerh has been exported there. This region of Yunnan where this tea was produced has a very good temperate climate with clean water and tall mountains. This ideal growing environment lends itself to aged puerh, just the way we like it.
